The spalted maple these pieces are cut from come from a single tree that was over 153 years old and came from a site near Walden Pond.  When this giant tree fell many years ago, we vowed to use all we could out of it. Our heart shaped cutting boards, boxes, and even furniture have made their way all over the world!  We love fantasizing about how Thoreau may have sat under that very tree. Well, maybe not, but it's sure fun to think about!
